Course Overview

Aims and Objectives: The purpose of this course is to provide Master, Senior officers and Senior Engineer with an insight into what is required in conducting a casualty investigation, supporting the investigator in the field and what an investigation should achieve. The course provides a clear, practical guide to masters and other officers responsible for collecting evidence to be used in making or defending maritime claims. It also allows participants to experience the very serious consequences of inaction and incidents. Course effectiveness depends upon the participation of attendees in case studies, discussions, role play interviews and report writing. Contents
