Course Overview

Modern vessels incorporate most sophisticated engine plants, which are designed for a minimum of control efforts by a reduced number of crew but of course the understanding of the system has to be increased manifold. The high demand of efficient operation in all aspects require well-trained engineer officers. The simulator demonstrates many different functions on control panels and graphic display to the Delegates. Uniteam Training operates a modern Engine Room Simulator which meets the international and national training requirements for Engineer Officers. The aim of the course is to provide Underpinning Knowledge and practice Skills to operate, supervise and monitor the safe operation and control of a ship’s machinery. UT’s Engine Room simulator is available for marine engineers wishing to train the following operations.  

  • Main engine, including emergency operation
